About Me
Welcome! I’m Chase Bennett, a dedicated school counselor and educational leader with over a decade of experience supporting students at both the elementary and secondary levels. I am passionate about helping students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally through Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), and restorative practices.
I began my career in Colorado, earning a Master’s Degree in Counseling with a Specialty in School Counseling. I then moved to Arizona, where I spent ten years at Horizon High School, eventually serving as Lead Counselor. My background also includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, which laid the foundation for my deep commitment to student well-being and advocacy.
After more than a decade in high school counseling, I relocated to Washington with my high school–aged son to be closer to family. This move was both personal and professional—I was excited to continue supporting students during such a pivotal stage of their lives while giving my son the chance to grow up near extended family. The transition has brought me a fresh perspective and renewed energy, and I feel fortunate to bring my experience to a new community.
I thrive on creating inclusive, supportive environments where students feel empowered, understood, and prepared for their futures. Whether through behavior interventions, leadership initiatives, or college and career readiness programs, my goal is always to meet students where they are and help them grow.
I prioritize building strong, trusting relationships with students to support their academic, social-emotional, and behavioral growth. My counseling approach is proactive, inclusive, and tailored to individual student needs.
Schoolwide Impact
As a Lead Counselor, AP Coordinator, Dual Enrollment Coordinator, Administrative Designee, PBIS Coordinator and MTSS Lead, I have worked to implement data-driven interventions, improve school culture, and support both students and staff in creating a positive learning environment.
College and Career Readiness
Helping students prepare for life beyond school is a passion of mine. From dual enrollment, 504 and AP coordination to career exploration and post-secondary planning, I ensure students are equipped for success.
